According to Engadget, Dell is preparing its Eee PC challenger, the Mini Inspiron E series and E Slim series.

The Dell E will have three models, E Classic, E Video and E Video+. The E series will have a 8.9-inch display and is powered by Intel’s Diamondville, 512MB or 1GB of memory, 4, 8 or 16GB storage. They will support WiFi, WiMax and Bluetooth. There is also E Slim series with 12.1-inch display.

E is expected to be release in August and E Slim in September. Both series will run Windows XP and Linux OS, which is codenamed as BlackTop.

Dell as announced its Pink version of XPS M1530 and M1330 notebook PCs. “Identified by Pantone as one of the Top 10 Fashion Colors for Spring 2008, pink is one of the new shades for the season. It was all over the 2008 Fashion Week runway shows and is expected to be a shade that women and celebrities will be draping themselves in all year.”
